YOUTH ATHLETIC CO-ED TRAINING PROGRAM

Offer your child the opportunity to advance to a level of performance that matches their true potential.

Recommended for grades 5 through 8 (ages 10-14)

Each session includes:

  • Dynamic warm-up – mobility and stability exercises along with dynamic movement to warm up for training sessions.
  • Speed agility and quickness training – developing the athlete’s ability to change direction quickly while maintaining speed and body position.
  • Energy systems development training – this will develop both the athletes’ aerobic and anaerobic capacity.
  • Strength and power training – developing the athlete’s power or rate of force development. This is how you create an elite bigger stronger and faster athlete.
  • Team building – challenges which encourage teammates to work with each other, utilize each other’s special skills and promote dependency and trust in each other.
Program runs Mondays at 6:30 – 7:30 pm as part of the regular group fitness schedule.

About The Coach: Greg Orr

Expertise: As a Strength and Conditioning Coach, Greg’s skill set lies in applying movement screening protocols to design advanced in-depth exercise programs for any client who is serious about improving themselves in all aspects of health and wellness, as well as sport specific training.

Qualifications: Greg is a graduate of George Brown College, earning himself an advanced diploma in Fitness and Lifestyle Management. He is a Certified Personal Trainer through CSEP and has completed an internship at McMaster University under the direction of the lead Strength and Conditioning Coach for Canadian National Athletics.
